I am currently an MSc Software Engineering with Cloud Computing student at City, St George's University of London. I love learning about new technologies and figuring out how to use new tools. I have not always been this nerdy techie. I was initially in med school but had to drop out after I wrote my first Python script back in 2019. I had no idea what I was missing back then, and since I started my tech journey, I have not looked back! Today, I hold a BEng in Computer Engineering and have experience building impactful software.

A couple of months into my tech journey, I came across open source, which changed my life and the way I view technology. I am very passionate about open source because I believe collaborative building makes the tech we enjoy much better. Early on, I had the opportunity to contribute to amazing projects through the Outreachy (Yocto Project) and Google Summer of Code (RTEMS Project) internships. This passion for open-source development eventually led me to intern at the UNICEF Office of Innovation as a Full Stack Developer

I am also very big on community building. I have served as the Lead for the Google Developer Student Club at my university , the Lead Organizer for Google Developer Groups Bamenda , and a Women Techmakers Ambassador. I am deeply passionate about getting more women into tech fields. Over the years, I have worked as a WAAW Foundation chapter lead and a Technovation club ambassador to mentor teenage girls and motivate them to pursue STEM careers. I strongly believe the best way to bridge the gender gap is by starting from the base and empowering young women. My community efforts and resilience were even recognized with the Generation Google Scholarship for Women in Computer Science.

Apart from my community involvement, I love taking part in competitions and hackathons to build fun and impactful projects. One of my greatest achievements was leading a team to the top 10 global finals in the Google Developer Student Clubs Solution Challenge , where we built “Flow,” a mobile application that helps people find clean water. More recently, I was a semifinalist in the A2SV Generative AI for Africa Hackathon for co-creating an AI-powered visa assistant. My dedication to cloud technologies and the global developer ecosystem also led to me being recognized as a Google Developer Expert in Google Cloud

My goal is to continue growing as a skilled software engineer and cloud specialist, while being an inspiration to the younger generation looking to take up a career in tech.
